Doctrine of Faith

We believe-
First and foremost that you need to be Born-again: Not religion, not going to church, but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have fellowship with God, and redemption from the curse that is upon the earth.
Being born again is a spiritual rebirth. You are born of the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit was sent into the earth to carry out the new birth. When you make Jesus the Lord of your life, the Holy Spirit comes to indwell you and causes your spirit to be re-created. According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, when you accept Jesus as your Lord, you become a new creature, or new creation; old things pass away and all things become new. As far as God is concerned, at that moment, you stand before Him as a brand-new person. You are reborn from sin and death to righteousness and new life.
To be born again, you use your mouth and you use your heart. First, you believe in your heart that God’s Word is true; then you confess it with your mouth because you believe it. Come to Jesus now, and experience the new birth. Say this prayer with your mouth and believe it in your heart:

“Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I present myself to You. I pray and ask Jesus to be Lord over my life. I believe it in my heart, so I say it with my mouth: “Jesus has been raised from the dead.” This moment, I make Him the Lord over my life. Jesus, come into my heart. I believe this moment that I am saved, I say it now: “I am reborn. I am a Christian. I am a child of Almighty God.”

You are now a Born-Again Believer! Now, fellowship with God through reading your Bible and prayer in the name of Jesus (which just means to talk with God)…The following is also what GJITCM believes according to God’s Word:

In the Triune of God:

- God, the Father

- His Son, Jesus (the Word made Flesh -John 1:1-16)

- The Holy Spirit

All of whom were present and active in the creation

The Bible is:

 - The eternal, incorruptible Word of God (1 Peter 1:23-25)

- Of no private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20)

- Must be interpreted through itself by the Holy Ghost
  (1 Corinthians 2:12-14)

- Is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, & instruction (2 Timothy 3:16)

Salvation is:

  - By grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8)

- Received by confessing Jesus is Lord with your mouth & believing in
your heart God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9)

- Available to “whosoever will” (Romans 10:12-13)

- God’s will for all (1 Timothy 2:4-6)

The Doctrines of Baptisms…plural (Hebrews 6:2):

1. Water baptism of repentance/ into Christ Jesus

- We’re buried & risen with Him in baptism (Colossians 2:12; Romans 6:3-11)
- Is commanded in the Word (Matthew 28:19)

2. Baptism with the Holy Ghost & fire

- Jesus is the one who baptizes us (Luke 3:16)
- Brings empowerment to witness (Acts 1:8)
- Is accompanied by speaking in tongues (Acts 2:4)
- Is a separate and distinct occurrence (Acts 8: 12-17)

Laying on of hands:

- For receiving the Holy Ghost (Acts 8:17)
- For healing the sick (Mark 16:18)
- For transfer of anointing (Acts 13:2-4)

We believe Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, day and forever:

(Hebrews 13:8). So, if Jesus ever did anything, He will still do it today! If He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil (Acts 10: 38), He will still heal all who are oppressed today.

We believe people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6), and that knowledge of God is the key to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Therefore, we are committed to preach & teach the whole counsel of the Word of God.
