January ’11 BSCMF Letter
Saturday, January 1st, 2011 | BSCMF Newsletters
January 2011
Dear BSCMF Member,
“Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words I speak are not My own, but My Father who lives in Me does His work through Me.”
· John 14:10 (NLT)
As we begin the New Year – 2011, I want to encourage you to be “Christ-centered” in your life and ministry. In today’s Body of Christ around the world, there is a lack of understanding and a missing revelation of Jesus being everything to us. In today’s Body of Christ, there is a focus upon, what I would describe as being, “Church-centered” Christianity. What is the difference? In “Church-centered” Christianity, pastors and 5-fold ministers are focused upon ways to attract people to their churches and ministries. They use man-made schemes and plans to promote themselves and their ministries. The true end-result is that the “Church-centered” mentality has worldly programs and messages with ‘enticing words’, but that are totally empty of the power of God; and as a result the church and ministry has no real Kingdom of God impact.
But if you are “Christ-centered”, then you will base your church/ministry upon the foundation of Jesus. Specifically, you will be totally dependent upon Jesus to do your ministry work. This dependency will open the door for the Holy Spirit to NOT PROMOTE YOU, but to promote and glorify Jesus! In today’s Church World, there is too much self-promotion, and it has limited the Holy Spirit’s ability to work in mighty signs, wonders and miracles. How do we build a “Christ-centered” life? Jesus gives us the answer in John 14:10: We build it by developing OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD! Jesus did ministry work with great Holy Ghost power because He and Father God were one. Jesus stated, “…My Father who lives in Me does His work through Me.” Do you see the difference? In “Church-centered” thinking, you are the one who is trying to attract people to your church/ministry. You end up focusing upon man-made plans to try to promote yourself and work…and who gets the glory? YOU DO!
When you act like Jesus and walk in intimacy with God, you develop your relationship with Jesus and Father God through the Holy Spirit. Then just like Jesus, it will be the Father in you who is doing His work through you. You will then open the door for Holy Ghost power to demonstrate the Kingdom of God to the world around you, in mighty signs, wonder and miracles. You will not have to worry about promoting your ministry, because God will be the one who will be promoting you and your ministry!
In 2011, I want you to focus developing a “Christ-centered” mindset that controls your life and ministry. If you do, you will walk in “Days of Heaven upon the earth” this year; and you will transform the world around you for Jesus – promoting and glorifying Him!
May God bless you richly,
Dr. Will Pantin
